1)  PAYMENT
  • I use PAYPAL invoices only.
  • Invoices are sent in US Dollars.
  • Invoices can be paid using either an paypal account or a credit/debit card via paypal. I DO NOT accept e-cheques.
  • Payment required up front, within 48 hours of being invoiced.
  • I am willing to negotiate payment in stages for more expensive commissions, contact me for queries.
  • When multiple character owners are involved in a commission, one person will be the main contact that I invoice. You will have to arrange splitting the payment between yourselves.
2)  REFUNDS
  • I will not give a refund on any artwork that I have completed.
  • Partial refunds may be given depending on stage of the work and the circumstances.
  • A full refund will only be given if I have not yet started your work.
  • I reserve the right to refuse a refund.
3)  CONTENT
  • If you are unsure of what I will or won't work on, please contact me with a query. See blow for a list of what I will and won't draw.
  • I do not generally like to work on copyrighted characters, so this is taken on a case-by-case basis.
  • All characters featured MUST HAVE FULL PERMISSION from their owners to be used.
  • All characters featured in mature/nude art must be over the age of 18.
  • YOU MUST BE OVER 18 TO COMMISSION ANY ART FROM ME. By commissioning me you are agreeing that you are over the age of 18 or can prove you have parental consent. 
  • I choose what I work on. I retain the right to refuse a commission even if it meets my rules.
4)  WHAT YOU GET
  • You will receive via email, a high resolution version for your printing needs, and a low resolution watermarked version for your uploading needs.
  • If the commission was done on Procreate you may receive the full length and 30 second procreate timelapses.
  • During the working progress, you will receive regular emails featuring WIP images of your image for approval. If emails are not replied to within an acceptable amount of time with approval or suggestion of changes, I will continue work on the commission without making any alterations. (sketch commissions get no WIPs)
  • When multiple character owners are involved in a commission, one person will be the main contact that I send emails to. It is the responsibility of that person to make sure that everyone involved is happy with that stage before they give me permission to continue to the next stage. It is not my fault if you give me permission to move on and one person is unhappy and wants to make changes, it is then too late. (If it takes a few days to contact everyone, just let me know that you're waiting on feedback, I'm happy to wait.)
  • Major changes must be requested during the sketch stage. Minor changes may be made during the lineart stage. I prefer not to make alterations after this point but may do depending on the commission.
  • You are NOT receiving the rights to the artwork. This means that the art belongs to me still, and you are NOT allowed to profit from it in any way/use it commercially. Otherwise you are free to use it personally in any way you desire as long as full credit is given where applicable.
  • I am not comfortable at this stage to offer the rights of my art to somebody for commercial use. Perhaps in the future but not at this point in time.
5)  USE OF MY ART
  • The only parties allowed to redistribute art are myself, the commissioner of that art piece, and/or the owners of any characters featured in said art piece.
  • If you are the commissioner of the artwork, you are NOT allowed to profit from it in any way/use it commercially. You are free to use it personally in any way you desire as long as full credit is given where applicable (see next bullet point)
  • Full credit must be given to me as the artist if art/timelapses are posted online, with a link either to my website (mickeyilastudios.com) or my furaffinity account (furaffinity.net/user/mickeyila) but please be sure to upload the watermarked low res version, not the high res version.
  • Please refrain from uploading art until AFTER I have publicly posted it as my subscribestar subscribers have early access to posted artwork.
  • If the artwork was not drawn for you, or featuring a character owned by you, you do not have permission to upload it. This includes use on art/image sharing sites such as instagram and E621.net, etc. You are able to share the artwork that I post publicly via the share button on my tumblr/various other social medias.
  • In very rare cases, permission may be granted to "groups" that wish to feature my art, depending on the site/situation/as long as permission has been granted by any and all owners of characters featured, and correct credits are given. Contact me if you would like to feature my art. 
  • Any art of mine found redistributed anywhere without my permission (or character owners permission) by anyone other than above stated parties will be reported and removed.
  • Nothing made by Michaela 'Mickeyila' Corcoran/Mickeyila Studios may be used in any blockchain-related technology, including NFTs, cryptocurrency, or future inventions in the space.
